No, Men Do Not Age Better Than Women!

I'm often asked if my program is just for men. I can definitely help women too, so please don't be put off.  It's just that I think it's about time that men got some help specifically for them. We need it. What many women seem to know instinctively, we have to learn. And there's a lot to learn.

As a general rule, women are much, much better than men at taking care of themselves and their appearance. The whole subject of personal care seems to be taboo in the male world. This is down to a lot of factors, including thousands of years of evolution and an awful lot of social conditioning. How many times, for example, have you heard someone say, "Facials are for gays," or, "Real men don't put anything on their face except aftershave - and beer"? This kind of macho nonsense is what ages men before their time.

To make matters worse, we've even managed to delude ourselves into believing that somehow "men age better than women." I don't know where this idea came from that men get better looking as we get older, but I do know that it's rubbish.

You don't believe me? Okay, let's try a little challenge. Name me a man who really has gotten better looking with age.

There's just one catch though: you're not allowed to cite Sean Connery.

I bet the challenge just got a lot harder, right?

Even if you did manage to find an example, I bet you're thinking of someone famous. Now, anyone can find the one-in-a-million anomaly, the man who's famous precisely because he's the exception to the rule. Fine. But take a look around you - at your friends, colleagues, family and people in the street. How many of them really are better looking now than they were when they were younger? Not too many, I'm willing to bet.

Secondly, what people don't realise is that the Sean Connerys and Robert Redfords of this world didn't just somehow "get better looking." Believe me, those men knew (and know) how to take care of themselves. Do you really think that a Hollywood career would allow an actor to leave things to chance in the hope that he would just "get better looking"? I don't.

I wish people paid more attention to the ideals of the ancient Greeks. They were an extremely tough warrior race, having conquered most of the known world at one time. But despite that, they didn't succumb to all this macho nonsense. Physical strength and fitness were admired and considered important assets in their culture, yes. But more than this, the ancient Greeks elevated the development of the human body to an art form. Rather than being concerned only with being, for example, a strong wrestler or champion discus thrower, the Greeks strove to have bodies that looked beautiful too.

Like many other men, I also used to delude myself into believing that I would "get better with age," and that I wouldn't need to take care of myself as I entered my 30s. As you can see from my "before" photo, I found out that I was wrong.

Thankfully I woke up, and my Apollo Program helped me to turn back the clock. Not only did my body improve, but my skin and my hair became much healthier too. I look and feel years younger. It's never too late to start reversing the damage, but we men first need to stop lying to ourselves. Just trust me: we do not age better than women!
